Queensland first home buyers currently pay no transfer duty at all on a new home or vacant land (no price cap), following the May 2025 exemption. Established homes get a full exemption up to $700,000, tapering to nil by $800,000. A $30,000 First Home Owner Grant also applies to new builds under $750,000.
